The story
Shot above the treeline, the film needed music as thin and cold as its air. We built the requiem around a hardanger fiddle — its sympathetic strings ringing like wind through wires — and kept everything else low: felt piano, contrabass, a brass choir that never rises above a whisper.
Location wind recordings run under the entire score, so the landscape itself plays in every cue. The loudest moment in the film is still quieter than most trailers.
